Mythlogic negative experience. Is this typical?

    Hello,

Let me preface this with admitting that I've never purchased replacement parts until just recently. I have purchased, and have assisted in purchasing, 4 laptops over the last 4 years. 2 from Xotic PC, 1 from ProStar, and 1 from Sager - all of which have gone flawlessly and have been some of the best purchasing experiences I have had. Despite all of this I went with Mythlogic because of how active they seem to be here on the forums and how much support is provided to this sector of enthusiasts.

I needed a few replacements parts for my P370SM3 to hold me over for a couple months before I purchased a replacement laptop to replace my P170EM and P370SM3. I initially placed the order on October 31st, and paid for it November 1st when Mythlogic had invoiced me. I was informed of a 10 business day lead time on a single item in my order. 25 business days had gone by without me hearing anything from Mythlogic nor receiving an item. I then reached out to Mythlogic and was simply told that they had contacted the sales department and that was all the information I could get. A week later I had reached out to them again because I had not heard anything, but this time I was informed that some of my parts had arrived, which would be shipped out immediately, and my remaining parts should be in my hands the following week.

I am still waiting on the remainder of my order. I have not heard anything. I completely understand the holidays delaying things with people taking time off and additional packages being shipped causing things to take a little longer..

The whole point of this post is 2 fold. One to express my disappointment and the other to gauge if this is typical for those that have ordered replacement parts from Mythlogic.

    Hey

Totally understand the frustration on the parts, unfortunately we don't keep spare parts of every system on hand, so sometimes we have to order things and it can literally be the slow boat from China. I know you are still missing a PSU and that will be to you here shortly.

    thanks again

Next time go with RJTech, they are much bigger and will have the spare parts already in stock!

This resonates with my recent experience with Mythlogic. Turnaround/delivery times much longer than promised, and extremely poor communication. I myself just posted a thread here about my own Mythlogic experience: Ordered a laptop in August, didn't get delivered until end of November, and was delivered with a faulty keyboard that has yet to be replaced.

Mythologic is a total joke and they have done nothing to address all the negative feedback.. I would not buy from them!

Hidevolution is where it's at. They don't relegate post sales customers to low priority service like most every other vendor I've dealt with.

+1 one on that! I would never want to deal with Mythlogic even if they offered me a laptop for free!

If I post my experience with them here, probably no one would ever want to purchase a system from them but I'll just keep it to myself as I don't want them suing me for spoiling their business by telling the ugly truth of their support team
