I'm currently deciding between these two laptops, P640RF seems pretty solid from the reviews and doesn't run very hot, but I prefer a 15 inch screen. However, I know nothing about the N150RF.

Can anyone give me some info on the N150RF, mainly just want to know about the temperatures of CPU and GPU under load.

Also, how is windows 10 these days, is it still causing major problems for clevo systems?

Advantage for the P640RF would be DDR4 16GB modules are way more cheap, the N150RF is DDR3.
They are very similar in everything else to be honest. You can always check a reseller website or even CLEVO website and compare specs side by side.

No problem with Windows 10, running my P640RF with Windows 10 and dual boot to ElementaryOS Loki (Ubuntu 16.04), even switchable graphics run smooth, just perfect!

If you want 14 inch display, Go with P640RF, but if you prefer 15.6 inch laptop with more storage option, I will say Go with N150RF-G

Thanks for your reply, just realised that n150rf only comes with a 120w power supply o_O is that enough?

For the GTX 965M it is.
Also the N150RF does have ODD (optical drive) which can also be converted to one additional Storage Unit.

I'd agree, Windows 10 shouldn't be an issue on either system really. For the most part, the majority of issues with drivers were sorted out after windows 10 launch, and I believe both of those models came out after Win 10 came out. They weren't systems that were designed to work with 8.1 and upgraded later, IIRC.

CPU and GPU temps on the N150RF are fine; it does a fairly good job of handling heat, and the 965M is less apt to reaching the kinds of temps more commonly seen on the 970M and 980M (upgrading the thermal compound from stock is still always a good idea).

Windows 10 wasn't a big issue for models that were shipping with support for it, or with systems that were at least getting a BIOS treatment/update for 10. Win 10, in and of itself, had some issues in general, although it's shoveling along fine for the most part nowadays.

I have the N150RF, it's slim, lasts long on battery, the M.2 is great I have a 512GB samsung 950 pro in there. Not much difference running either one in terms of power really, they're both just as powerful, though the numbers would suggest otherwise, the DDR4 in the newer model is not faster then the DDR3 in the older one. Just how it is. There is this option to make the fan run full blast byt hitting Fn and F1(or is it Fn+ number 1), so even if it does get hot you can cool it very fast, both models. As for the GPU getting hot, it CAN get relatively hot on both models, if you place it on your lap and block vents but otherwise, it's fine. Not hot enough to burn you. The Maxwell's were relatively cool to begin with. But expect 55-60C when running a game when fan is not on max.

    Hope that helps.
