Hey guys the screen on my p150em broke recently so I bought a new one on ebay from seller who were offering a B1560HW01 (v.4) (or equivalent) screen. I've received the N156HGE-11 (v.9) instead and I can't find much info about the screen online other than it being 1080p I don't know whether it has a 95% colour gamut like my old one.

EDIT: I've installed the screen and it definitely looks worse than my old one (colour wise) although I'm not sure whether it just needs calibrating which I did on my old one but haven't tried on the new one yet. Not sure whether I can try and send the screen back now that I've installed in my laptop also the fact that the seller said "or equivalent" screen in the description which may be his way of being able to sell an inferior screen and get away with it

If what you thought you purchased isn't what was delivered why did you not open an eBay case or contact seller prior to installation?
There is buyer protection on eBay to help support situations like yours where what your ordered is definitely not what you received.

I would dismantle, open case or contact seller and then follow steps by seller/eBay. It is laborious but at least in the end you will be happy.

    Good luck.

Like I said in the eBay description the seller stated that they would provide the same or equivalent screen, I perhaps naively assumed the screen would be the same as mine despite having a different model no.

After installing the screen on my laptop I can quite clearly see the screen is different to my old one even after calibrating. I guess I can try and send it back, if the seller will accept it

The "or equivalent" has gotten other people a different screen then they were expecting as well. As you mentioned I would ask the seller for a return. Before you order another one find a seller offering that exact model and message them to be sure that is the exact model they will be sending.
