    NEED BASIC Bios PLS W860cu

    hello guys, as i figured out i think there must be a bug in the bios 1.00.04 and 1.00.05

    my problem is:
    if i am converting a movie the temp of the QM720 goes until 80°C and the speed of the CPU will go down

    also the CPU-Fan seems only to do maybe 50% of it's revolutions.

    as i was using the 1.00.01 W860cu bios (the basic one) I never had problems

    so please guys send me a link to a downloadable 1.00.01 bios

    it would help enormous

    Try any of the notebook retailers that sell them.
    They uasally have drivers and BIO's for them.

    Sorry, i don't have the 1.00.01 BIOS. But there is a new version BIOS 1.00.11 and EC firmware 1.00.10, if you want to try them.

    I'll give it a try but I hate to say i am pessimistic ;/

    allready tried 1.01.04
    and 1.01.05 and both got the same problem

    the CPU fan never seams to crack the 50% mark.

    very very strange (and by the way, i didnt install any other software which could control fans or something like that :))

    ok flashed now the 1.00.11 but it still the same problem

    if i convert some videos, the temperature rises until 80°C and the CPU will slow down, but the FAN isn't speeding up


    maybe anyone got the 1.00.01 bios?

    I have the same problem with my clevo after I flashed to the 05 bios and later the fan never speeds up.

    Did you update the EC firmware also to 1.00.10 ?
    The fan problems sometimes relate to the Embeded Controller firmware.

    yes I did

    while i was flashing the EC the fan goes up to 100% and holds there until the message "flashing completed" comes.

    after restart the fan never goes up over 50% again ^^

    very very strange

    but

    does nobody here has got the basic bios ^^? not even clevo or any of the retailers??

    If no one else is having this issue, I don't think it's about the BIOS.

    I guess I'd just like to see a poll of W860 users, to see what BIOS they're using, and whether the fan issue is widespread.
