SO I was trying to get my speakers louder, so I downloaded the new audio driver (not really new Jan. 2) from sagernotebook.com...
version 6.0.1.5413 was the version i had.
via the pic i downloaded 6.0.1.5433
(in DM it says the version is 6.0.6000.16386 no idea where that came from??)
but as u can see in the pics the version dxdiag says its something totally different.
also in device manager i used to have something called Realtek HD Audio Codec and now that is gone (see my device manager)
anyway please advice. sound seems unchanged, but wheres my Realtek HD Audio thing in device manager? why the discrepency in driver versions from what I dled and what it says is installed?

O.K. nevermind.. my audo is all crackly and f'ed up now.
please help.
post drivers (NP5792 system in specs)
and instructions on installing because apparently I epicly fail
(after i Restarted windows installed these drivers(the current ones in the pic above that apparently suck), so not sure why the drivers I downloaded didn't install and why windows installed its own drivers.. please help) -
Rollback the drivers?
-
No option too.
(cause it was windows driver that was installed, even tho i dled and got the driver form sager.. then when it restarted windows installed its own driver???) maybe safemode intsall will work? idk.
why would windows install its own driver after i did the exe from sager? -
It did that because installing the Realtek drivers is a two-step process. The first time you run it, it uninstalls the old driver. Then after you reboot, you're supposed to run it again to install the new driver.
Also, the latest Realtek audio driver is *here* and is dated November 5th. -
Oh thanks m8. OK.
Seem to have it working now - can someone take a pic of thier device manager, with the sounds tab open so I can see what I am supposed to have under it?
Currently I only have Realtek HD Audio and soem UNIModem Half Duplex thing? should there be anything else?
and when I do a registry cleaner it wants to clean all sorts of ActiveX comWOWsurround. files? -
anyone take a pic of thier device manager please?
-
Oh, sorry, I replied but nbr seemed to die and it didn't go through
