My laptop started up fine, but had a "no battery detected" on icon lower right of screen, Windows 7. So, I verified the plugs were all in and then I noticed brick rattled.
Model number is 0713A1990, output 19V and 4.74 A. No name brand that i can see.
Is there a reputable company you all can recommend?

I don't think the power supply is your real issue here. When Windows doesn't detect any battery even when there is one present on the laptop, there is a problem with the battery and not the PSU. On my older Clevo it was that the batteries were swelling and then the battery plug didn't make a good contact with the motherboard's battery plug anymore. Can your laptop stay unplugged without shutting down?

To answer your power supply question, your best bet would be to contact a Clevo/Sager reseller and order a new one of the same specs. Then you won't have to mess with different plugs or adapters. If you can't wait, then any universal power supply with at least 90W power output at 19V will be just fine as long as it is provided with many different plugs to find a suitable one that will fit in your Sager.

Most likely it's the battery that's faulty. If you boot the computer into the BIOS setup with the AC adapter connected, and then disconnect the adapter, does the system stay on? Or power off immediately?

It stays on, for about 20 minutes.

Seems very much like a new battery is needed, then.
