    I can't update the bios or video card drivers. Why?

    Because you haven't given us an explanation with some details as to why you can't update the BIOS or the graphics driver.

    I don't know the details. I download drivers from Nvidia and it says there are no compatible drives on the computer.

    For the bios I tried using what was linked in the other thread and had similar issues.

    Can you be more specific please? Which drivers from Nvidia did you download? Am I going to assume you downloaded 186.03 WHQL? Install your graphics driver through device manager.

    What other thread and what similar issues? Links please.

    For the graphics driver, make sure you specify the mobile version of the drivers on the nvidia site (designated by an 'M') - or use laptopvideo2go

    For the BIOS, are you running the update from dos (real dos, not a command prompt), if not, then that's why it doesn't work.
