Sometimes when I put the laptop to sleep, it won't wake up! The weird part is the screen itself is blank but the lights still blinking. Obviously the laptop is still on but the screen remains blank.

I reformatted the laptop last month and updated all the drivers except the BIOS.

Does anyone have any solutions to solve this problem?

Did you try pressing the power button gently (like if you're turning it on) when trying to wake it from sleep? For some reason, there are different types of "sleep". At least on my machine. Sometimes simply lifting my lid will wake it. Others, I have to press the power button before it roars back to life.

I have encountered this problem in the past.

While I do not have an explanation as to why it happens, but I may have some weird methods to help your problem.

(Don't ask my why this worked for me lol)

    1) Make sure both your wireless and bluetooth adapters are off and nothing is plugged in to your USB ports
    2) Make sure you are not at 100% battery charge (ie unplug it for a min or 2)
    3) make sure all apps open are minimized

I've tried everything to wake it up but to no avail. The screen remains blank but the power light is blinking. If it happens, I have to press the power button to restart it!

Did it happen to your NP 8150 or previous laptops?

If that's the case, all I can tell ya is to call your reseller and see what they say? They might RMA it but it's better to nip a problem in the bud right now.

They did ask me to send it back to RMA but I'll have to wait 1-2 months! The problem is I can't live without it. LOL.

What reseller did you get it from? That's a huge wait, just for them to put the thing to sleep and see if it works. Do you live internationally to where you ordered it?

I'm a Malaysian and my reseller is based in Singapore. So it's quit hassle for me to send it back to RMA. Actually this is not a very big issues, at least for me because I can avoid this by preventing the laptop to sleep. But what if the GPU or mobo dies suddenly due to this issues? :(

I don't think you'll have to worry about the laptop dying due to such an issue, but if it really bothers you, do the RMA. I know how hard it is for international users. I'm one too. See if you can try for faster shipping, it REALLY should not take 2 months for an RMA. Maybe if it ships in 3 days both ways, you could get it RMA'd in under 2 weeks. See if you can get an old laptop to borrow from a friend or something while yours is out?

I'd RMA it while you can just in case. See if you can get them to give you better shipping and faster service. 1-2 months is a long time.

Hi, new user but long lurker here :)

I also having problem with my laptop and it was just 1 week old when it happened. But mine is worst, the screen is still blank even after a few reboot and restart. I have even tried connecting and external monitor, but the external monitor was still blank. I have done all the steps I found on the forums/online like reconnecting the RAMs, HDD and remove the battery.

After contacting sager and my reseller, they opt me for a RMA. But after receiving the laptop the tech support at Sager told my reseller that nothing is wrong with the laptop and I have to pay for the admin fees as I have send them a fully functioning laptop.

Last night I was asked to assist Sager on troubleshooting my problem. All he did was asked me "Have you connected an external monitor prior to the problem occurred?", "Can you provide the login password?" and lastly "Yes. So far, we have not found any problem yet."
I have ask them a picture or video of my laptop if it runs of showing post, but the techsupport named Allen Zheng did not respond. I have asked them 3 times to provide me with the evidence that my laptop is fine.

I hope someone here could help me. I am now very disappointed in the service Sager had given. :(

My reseller also told them to give some pics/video of the laptop, but since the troubleshooting last night Sager, have yet to give me. :(

I also bought it from mucroasia. Btw, I dare not put the laptop to sleep anymore due to the sleep mode issues.

The 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee only applies if you buy directly from sager I suppose.

From what I've heard, it applies through all resellers. Ones like Mythlogic, who assemble the barebones themselves (I.E. you're not getting a "Sager", though you are getting the Clevo machine that the Sagers are built on) may have a different policy. Just e-mail them all and find out.
