I remember when the manual first came out, somebody pointed out that the Np8660/M860TU has a slot on the underside that can be unscrewed and a cell phone sim card can be inserted into this slot to allow you to use your cellphone/blackberry data plan for web browsing on your computer.

I was wondering if anybody has tried this out yet to see if it works and how well and anything else relating to it.

In order to use that, you need to have the mini pcie 3.5G card

    that was me :D
not tried it out as of yet.

this is courtesy of Neil from Kobalt in the uk
"The Nexus won't have 3.5G installed as standard and there will be a monthly charge for the service. There will be a 3.5G SIM card and also an optional USB stick so for example you can use the 3.5G card in your Nexus and the USB stick in another laptop of desktop (though not at the same time!!!).
It is a UK contact - you can use it outside of the UK but there will be an additional cost if you do this because you're using other companies networks.

We have confirmed T-Mobile and because of requests we have also struck a deal with Vodafone UK so there is an option be it prefered service or the signal strength at your location (which you can track on a website!).

EDIT - everyone in the UK with an existing order will be offered this and it will be open to every new customer in the UK.

the 3.5G Module which you need in order to run the T-Mobile or Vodafone USIM card (provided by either of these companies) is not free but about £130 ex VAT. You need an actual 3.5G module in the Nexus in order to use a USIM card.

this was quoated a few months ago so it may of changed as ive not heard any more news on it.
