    Ok right now im typing on a external; keyboard. I need help for some reason my keys on my laptop keyboard are really messed up. My 0 on my keyboard makes a *. Then my letters such as UIOP,JKL, and my are making numbers.?? i know it has something to do with my function button but i cant figure it out.

    yup.

    numlock on external keyboard will cause notebook's keyboard's numlock to be on as well.
