I just got my NP8662, and to my surprise, several of the keys don't seem to work! "j, k, i, 6, 7" are often just not working at all. Sometimes they kick back in, but usually they're completely unresponsive. I didn't see any specific keyboard driver on Sager's website.

    Can anyone help?

    Remount the keyboard cable.

Before proceeding, remove your battery and unplug your notebook.

There are a bunch of tabs under the top row of keys on your keyboard. Use something thin like the straw of your compressed air can to push those tabs in and pull your keyboard up from the top. Underneath the keyboard you will see a ribbon locked down to the motherboard. That is your keyboard cable. Push the lock up to unlock the ribbon and dust it off. Insert the ribbon back into the slot and lock it. Then put your keyboard back in the same way you took it out.

Wow that worked! It was pretty nerve wracking trying to get the ribbon back in its slot, but i was finally able to do it, though i couldn't manage to lock both sides completely.

Thanks a lot! Though I'm pretty annoyed that Sager shipped a new computer with a loose keyboard ribbon!

It happens sometimes. You get used to putting the ribbon back in after a few tries. Glad you got your keyboard back up and running.
