NP 8XXXs, if there much difference in cooling capability?

The upcoming 980m looks [...and smells] like a terrific choice of upgrade to succeed my aging G73.

[Tonga can still win me over on price, but the 980m looks like it could be strong enough to last through all of this gen's console ports.]

...anyway. I like 17" laptops for the larger screen, usually more drive space and I'm under the impression they cool better.

...I like 15" laptops because it is easy to find carrying cases and it is a little more portable. I can use my desktop-monitor/HDTV in most instances if I want a bigger screen.

    But does 17" cool better?

I ask because Sager doesn't skimp on the cooling, so [...in theory] one might think that the cooling was going to be pretty good in any case.

    Bonus Question:

How is Sager's reliability over the long haul? [I still have a G73! So, yeah I keep using what I have as long as it works.] I don't OC the GPU ridiculously. I do try to find the best VRAM OC and then run it with a low-moderate core OC unless the game really requires more.

They are both the same GPU wise, the 17 inch has better CPU cooling and a larger power brick.

Has anyone had stock CPU throttling issues on a NP 8k not attributable to a bad tim application?

It will have happened, though really the reseller should pick it up, sometimes during transit though the machine can be knocked in just the right way.
