Just posted my first score in new thread. This was 1680 and HIGH settings. Running VERY HIGH now.

Sorry people for the delay! Went away for a couple of days.
After un-installing and then installing Crysis I found the Bin 64 file.Ran the benchmark and this is what I got. Hope this is what you guys are looking for.
I also hope I could save my shady rep now.
Ran them both on DX 10 -
-
Bring it!....lol
But seriously I'm glad you finally got your own Beast to play with.I was really going to get the GTX at first but at the time I was ordering my laptop, the single GTX was not even available (well it was but had to wait a couple of weeks, it kept on getting pushed back) never mind getting dual GTX's.I could just imagine how expensive those would be!
Overall I can't complain about the 9800M GT's in Sli the are more than what I expected.
How do you like your laptop so far? -
-
What made you go for the NP9262 over the m17x? Was it the price or something else?
-
Well IKAS machine rocks, spanking results. Maybe SLi support in the 9800M GT has improved considerably from the 8800M GTX. That is my best guess for now.
Hope no doupts about the Benchmark tool exist now.
Trance -
Can you run benchmark_cpu2.bat please? In benchmark_cpu2.bat i have avg fps 52 but on this i have svg fps 19.
PSatch 1.2 must be installed to run this benchmark.
-
like I said earlier.
the 8800M GTX and 9800M GT may have the similar specs and performance... but the 9800M GT has a higher power rating that can help it push the performance... that, or because it [the higher power rating] is be needed for being the base of the 9800M GTX [with the high number of shader processors].
so not a re-brand... just a replacement of a card with slight core modifications. -
IKAS, if you have the time can you please run the bench with SLI disabled? Just go to NVIDIA Control Panel and disable SLI. If you do so the test will run with just one Card. I'm interesting in comparing the values with one card running against two to check how SLI is behaving.
From your results and ARGHs result we can conclude one of four things:
* 9800M GT SLI config is far superior to the 8800M GTX in SLi. 10 FPS increase is indeed a lot (33% increase). So basically NVIDIA is doing something to improve SLi support on the new cards with a new combo of drivers and hardware. Looking at the values obtained with a single 9800M GTX I would say that you SLi config shows results up to 55% better. Back to good old days of the Go 7950 GTX were SLi used to worth something.
* Vista x64 now works better in SLi then XP. Contrary to what people think at the moment.
* Crysis is indeed CPU influenced to a greater degree then people thought.
* ARGHs system is not configured for the optimum.
Those results are spanking. Thanks for all the help and please if possible due me that last favour.

Just downloading patch 1.2, it's a big file.I will get on both pretty soon.
-
wow, 15000. i cant wait for triple SLI in a laptop
hey, offtopic question, but does anyone know if the asus c90s uses desktop proc? i see it listed as e6600 or something like that -
I have a C 90S with a extreme 6800 proc. so yes it does.
-
For some reason when I do the CPU test's I get this
-
Open the file with notepad and post here its content. Maybe I can help.
Trance -
Good luck! Need sleep! Will try to post results soon.Good night for now errr make that day!
-
-
I thought the file was a batch file. So I cannot help

Although it probably won't make much difference, you might want to try a run at the standard resolution of 1920x1200 just to get everyone on the same page. -
My guess is that resolution is driver dependent as for fact different drivers allow one to select a diff set of resolutions. And yes a diff of 20 pixels in high won't make a diff of 10 to 20 FPSs.

are you guys comparing the 8800gtx to the 9800gt sli on different systems.. the scores on the like of the dell 1730 simply can not compare to the 9262 due to the added power of the desktop cpu...the mobile cpu just does not compare..
also a freind of mine got his 570tu with the 9800gt in the other day (i dont remember who he said he ordered it from) but he let me pull the gpu out to see it and it actually had a 8800gtx sticker on it just like the one killernotebooks posted a while back. there were 2 sickers one that said 570tu and the other said 8800mgtx on it.. so i dont honestly myself believe they changed it much if at all unless they are re-using the boards and dropping another gpu on the old boards...maybe a few of you can pull it out it only take a few seconds and see what yours says id love to know and im sure he was also, he actually was pretty pissed when i showed him the sticker on the card -
@IKEAS,
It seams that Crysis has two kinds of Benchmarks. One is GPU Benchmark and another is CPU Benchmarks. Since you installed the 1.2 patch can you run the GPU Benchmark again?
Trance -
I've been reading all the benchmarks for Crysis in anticipation of getting one a Sager NP9262, and it really does seem like the 9800GT SLI has a large advantage over the others, now the only question is what is the difference between the 9800GT SLI and the future 9800GTX SLI. Only time will tell, guess we'll all have to wait.
-
Sorry I don't have Crysis anymore. Traded it for DMC4 and UT3, un-installed it.
-
-
9800M GTX SLI listed at Sager and resellers, around $1165 more than the base 9800M GT card or about $800 additional to a single 9800M GTX. Pricey pricey pricey. Does anyone know how much the 8800M GTX SLI was costing around the time it was released. At Dell, the XPS 1730, an upgrade from 8700M GTX SLI to 8800M GTX SLI costs around $700+ , trying to see if $800~ is comparable.

If I was him, after all this talk here... I would just play!
Btw how muh time does a benchmark take? It would be really interesting to find out who much time IKAS spent doing benchmarks! -

I hope to get my 9800m gtx sli by the end of next week...
edit : more specs :
cpu Q9550
hd's 3x320Gb raid 0
memory 2x2Gb DDR2 800Mhz dual channeled -
Congrats man!
You have to put up some numbers for comparison -
justanotherguy_be Notebook Enthusiast
thx!
Yeah I'll try to do that. Got a message today that the parts arrived, so it may be a matter of days!
I've searched alot on the net for reviews/benchmarks, anything on the 9800m gtx sli..but found nothing.
edit :
@ IKAS, I wonder how the better graphic cards in combination with a less powerfull cpu as yours (Q9550 - Q9650) will run in Crysis, since it depends on cpu alot too.
Have you tried physx enabled games yet with your 9800m GT sli? how do they scale? sli mode vs 1physx dedicated gpu. -
still waiting on that disabled one 9800m gt test ikas v...

right my learned friends can anyone tell me why im only getting around 10fps in warhead with 1680x1050 rez 2xAA and all settings set to gamer.?? what should i be getting theorectically.??
using driver 178.13 with dox inf at the moment -
Actually Warhead do require some tweaking out of the box. However are you running DX10? DX10 in this game is badly optimized. Try to run DX9 instead and see what kind of fps you get.
Those Crysis scores with an average of almost 45 fps at 1920x1200 DX10 High is too good to be true. I mean look up some benchmarks of desktop GTX 280 in SLI and you´ll see what I mean. Even desktop 8800 GTX SLI and see what kind of benchmarks you have with those at 1920x1200 DX10. There is no way two mobile (8800 GTS 320-640MB with a slightly modified core and at 500/1250/800, still 96 SP´s) competes with such desktop GPU´s with lots of more Shaders and higher clocks, wider bus. It all sounds too good to be true. Not even with a Quad Core at 3 GHz yield a major performance boost in Crysis.
Well better up since you posted that score with 40+ average at DX10 High. Post again all Very High DX10 benchmarks at 1920x1200 and without any custom config´s. Just pure standard Crysis Very High settings.
Better yet post other gaming benchmarks so we´ll see how they perform in other games, say Grid, Bioshock etc etc.
However 9800m GT is based off the G94 Chip I think and the 9800m GTX is based of the G92. I am very curious to see more benchmarks, I am not bashing or anything, if these scores are true it is great. Since this basically means the G94 Core is pretty amazing optimized -
Did you add something that was meant for another thread Magnus?
-
Nah this thread
I just think it sounds too high average framerate for two 9800m GT.
-
wake up thread!!
say, i will be benching my 9800m gt's when they come on monday. and im pretty sure they will not come anywhere near http://forum.notebookreview.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23524&d=1220220977 but then, if you look at the time of day... it says 9 am... well friends...the original gpu bench mark is 8 am. it also runs 4 times. and the original file needs to be opened first and set to the correct settings. now, E-wrecked & I both made a mistake benching it wrong and we redid our test to show the true speed. and in that picture, it was also benched wrong. no way 2 9800 m gt's or gtx's are going to beat no gtx 280 anything, sorry.
my 3dmark score:
http://service.futuremark.com/resultAnalyzer.action?resultId=8440424&resultType=14
and so far, no one seems to be able to break 15,100.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -
That will be nice to see johnksss if it´s true or not.
-
thing i hate most is getting my hopes up only to find that it was one big old mistake!..*LOL*
-
Edit: i will try as well get the crysis bench for you guys the next days just tell me what resolution and which crysis shall i run (demo/original). -
Ok 3dmark score about 2 weeks a go.I got much better as i said 15600ish but i dont have time atm to start benchs.

nice!
you'll need to go into the game first and set everything to high and the resolution to 1920x1200, then click yes a few times then exit out of game.
then run the benchmark_gpu.bat file located in the crysis bin directory.
and that's basically it. -
they upped the price on sager 9262 by 300 bucks on basic

If it`s all that it`s cracked up to be, the D901C might just lose it`s top position...Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -
hummm, the people at rk said it would do 13,500. of course im not knocking that it can't. since it can run ati and nvidia. and yes, the d901c just may lose it's top spot or more so....nvidia to ati, since those are ati cards they are running...
yeah eleron, im not saying that's it's not possible to hit 15k, (that was more of a gimmick to get people to come out.*LOL*) they say there is one at 15,700 on a slight over clock.(not sure how true it is since no numbers are showing) but them frames are a bit out there. (hoping im wrong since i ordered a dual 9800m gt machine) and yes, i was surely looking at that ocz machine. very impressive indeed. -
