When I try opening the Mouse Pointers properties page a massage pops up saying "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working". What can I do to fix this? I don't think this happens with anything else, just the mouse pointer properties. Thanks for any help.

Fresh reinstall of Windows will solve all the problems.
According to this: http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread102343.html it might be a virus or maybe you just need to download and replace the broken dll http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread147395.html

I don't mean to be a nuisance but I may need someone to explain to me, Barney Style, what to do. I can open ports to enable me to play/host online games, which I find easy because I've done it several, several times. But I've never done this, so can someone walk me through this? Thanks for the help so far.

A fresh reinstall of Windows is a last resort if you ask me. The very least you should try running is a system file integrity check. Click on start, run and type in ''cmd, then type sfc / scannow. You might need to have your Windows Disk in the drive if it finds anything. I also suggest that you google your error and see how others solved the problem or if a solution has been found.
