Possible catastrophic disaster has been averted, well...........for myself anyway :D . LPC-Digital sent me an email saying my laptop (with 7970) was completed and started shipping last night with an arrival date of 06/04 (stupid holidays).

This is excellent news for me as I will starting school on the 10th and would not be able to last without a computer, so I was almost placed in the unfortunate predicament of having to purchase from Dell (F*CK you M1530.....) if my purchase was delayed.

Here's hoping they didn't let one of the defective cards slip out though

    Edit: NP9150**

The order was placed with LPC-Digital on the 12th and processed the 15th when they received my check. Great experience so far also, Larry has been super quick to respond to any questions I have had.

Congratulations! You can now join the ultra-exclusive awesome amazing super extra-fun club of people with Clevo laptops outfitted with the 7970m! Part of the benefits to being a member of this club include scoffing with a superior attitude at the multitude of threads full of other Clevo customers whining and complaining about how they either don't have one/don't believe their laptop will work with one! Oh, and also there's the superior gaming and whatnot, but that's secondary to acting really smug and superior on message-boards, clearly. [IMG]

Oh no! Well... I guess I've gotta come clean here - to be perfectly honest the drivers for the Clevo don't really matter, because I never actually use the laptop. I just have it so I can put better-looking specs in my signature on sites like these, as well as make wide, sweeping claims directed towards other posters about how much better my hardware is than theirs. In truth, I only ever use tablets, smartphones, or a 3DS/PSVita when I'm not on my cutting-edge top-of-the-line desktop rig that's obviously better, faster, and stronger than every laptop on this site. My laptops are just for show, unless I'm in a Starbucks and need to look hip in front of attractive people. But naturally, I have a Macbook Air specifically for that purpose anyway, LOL!

(good god i honestly feel physically dirty after writing that fakepost >_<)

AW does that even better though. I once was walking past a coffee shop downtown when I saw a huge crowd (maybe 5) of people gathered around outside. Cool special? Nope. Just a guy with an M14x sitting next to the window and playing with his lights.

Also, I use a 3ds for backup browsing and I can safely say that the only reason I don't bash its browser as the worst in the world is because I've used the DSi/Wii variants. How bad is it really? Javascript likes to not work every once in a while at very inconvenient places. Example: I make a post with a spelling error caused by the touch screen. I go to edit my post. Post edited. I click save- nothing happens. My browser flashes a window that says: part of this page failed to load properly. After 30 mins of reloading and making that edit, it finally saves. Also, the multi-quote button almost never worked, even though it turned orange when I clicked it.
    /rant

EDIT: wait a minute... If you use a mac air for showing off in public, what's with the M11x in your sig?

Oh. Well, if it counts, I have a friend who has a friend who has a desktop with a 3960X, 64GB of ram, and SLI 590's...

I don't actually know him very well, but I think the computer is his date.
