Hey all, I am currently trying to decide which operating system to use on my NP2090.
Originally I used XP and I noticed it was sluggish during gaming in UT3. So I switched over to Vista 32 and actually noticed it wasn't so sluggish. I believe this was due to better support for multiple processors, but I can't be sure.
After using Vista 32 for a few months, I got 4gigs of ram for developing maps for UT3 and Crysis, so naturally I upgraded to Vista 64bit, but this has been such a pain, I've never seen so many blue screens of death on this computer.
So in order to decide which operating system works best, today I will be testing Vista 64 vs Vista 32 vs XP 32.
I will be testing with Vista SP1 and XP SP3. I will post my FPS results along with any comments stability if the need arises.

I will post my results for average FPS at the same settings between these games:
    Unreal tournament 3
    Crysis
    Counterstrike Source
    Team Fortress 2
    Oblivion
    Dark Messiah Might and magic

Now this is my first benchmark, so if anyone would like to give me some pointers to remove bias, that would be wonderful.
Also, naturally I want to be able to use Vista 64bit since I ave 4gigs of ram, so I would like anyone who has experience with this laptop with Vista 64 to post what seems to work best for them.
Thank you all for your replies.

    You could always dual boot.
