within a few hours it goes from working just fine. (playing bioshock for an hour)

to now, when i press the power, the power light stays on, fans whir for a second and then nothing. the screen has light or any signs of drawing power.

probably not surprising that between when i was on today and tried again this afternoon my brother was on huh?

could this be a software problem at all though?

Have you tried resetting the laptop? Remove the battery from the laptop and unplug the power cord. Open the laptop LCD lid and hold the power button down for about 10-15 seconds. Then plug the power cord back in and try to power it on back on again.

If you plug it into an external monitor, do you get anything?
