So they claim its a two megapixel camera. then why is my video so choppy and crappy resolution. FPS is at like 5. My friend has a macbook pro and his isight is silky smooth. need help. Why wasn't there a settings software that came with the camera.

It's 2MP, but that pertains to it's max cmos resolution.. That doesn't mean it's going to run smooth. Use 640x480 resolution for video conferencing as it's silky smooth. The 2MP is really just for still shots.

How do i set it to 640x480. The camera works, but I can't seem to find a way to change its settings. It's definitely lower than 640x480 and fps is horrible. Plus when I go to control panel, and click on scanners and cameras, there are not cameras listed in there (I use vista 64bit). yet in device manager, under the imaging devices it goes by USB Video Device. what is going on.

Try a generic video controller program! I know the one that comes with the bison cam drivers has one in it. Look up bison cam and download the driver/video controller software.

Or get a different one, there are lots.

What's the best (highest video quality) webcam software. I just need something that allows two people to be able to see each other, recording is a plus.

So umm can anyone help me. Because IF i go to scanners and cameras in Vista Control panel, no camera is listed, even though I installed the driver that came with the CD. Where can I get the driver???? I can't even find anything about bison cams on google. did the company go out of business. I mean the crappy driver that came with the cd won't let me access the camera's settings. I mean maybe I wanna adjust colors, or resolution. I mean honestly, Its a 2 mega pixel camera and it is doing crappy 640x480 pictures............ shouldn't the camera have a program that comes with it. Smart Meeting program that people told me about is not it. Picture is stretched and quality of the video and pictures is just HORRIBLE. I mean look at Mac's iSight. It has amazing frame rate with an amazing resolution. It comes with Photo Booth specifically designed for the camera. Takes amazing pictures..... My camera quote on quote is 2 Mega pixels. So how do I unlock this beast.

I agree it is dissatisfying and confusing that no software except for a completely uncustomizable driver came with it. I dont have any answer for you though :( but just commented to share in your grief.

Depending upon where you bought your 2090 you may have lifetime tech support. Try giving your distributor a call or email.

I don't think it' supposed to show up in Control Panel->Scanners and Cameras. My actual camera shows up there so I can offload the pics. Since the webcam doesn't have internal memory, it probably isn't supposed to show up there. And yes, SmartMeeting is the "included camera program" that lets you take pics and record videos. What program were you using?

The iSight is pretty big and it uses firewire so it's a more expensive device that should not be compared to a tiny built-in webcam. Nonetheless, in MSN Messenger I was getting pretty good quality and framerate that is comparable to the iSight.

I use Skype to chat with others using the webcam. If you got a DVD with all the drivers for the laptop, try installing the drivers for the camera. If you didn't you can find a link in the 2090 Faq. After installing the drivers, my laptop noticed the camera, and I was able to take pictures using just explorer(only the quality was crappy).

Get a freeware camera program people. It's really not that hard.
