I've had the 2096 for about 3 months now and I'm loving it so far. Thanks to all of you here who helped me stay informed enough to make such a wonderful and fulfilling purchase.

I have a small complaint though. Maybe someone here has an answer. The hard drive spinning, while not audible itself, sometimes creates a buzzing in the "right"(facing the screen) side of my laptop. It comes and goes seemingly with no rhyme or reason.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping there's a simple fix, maybe a screw to turn...something that won't require serious tech skills.

Thanks for all your help in advance!

It sounds like something loose - a screw or maybe a bit of the plastic casing - have you tried tightening all the visible screws? You might also open up where the hdd is and make sure that it's securely attached to the system.

It might be the cover under the hard drive as well. I've found the covers on the bottom of the notebook to be poorly positioned sometimes, creating strange squeaking sounds and whatnot.
