I've been looking around for what seems forever, in order to find a good,
solid laptop. I'm not a gamer, but seek a well-built, good performing
machine. I've checked out Toshiba, Hp, etc., not really being able to
make up my mind. Then I checked out Sager and it looks like I may have
    found what I'm looking for.

My questions are specific to the NP2096, which appears to be very
well equipped, considering the reasonable $1200 price. One of the main
reasons it interests me is because it will be available soon with the
full Centrino platform(which includes the new Intel WiFi card).

The specs are impressive, in that the base processor should more than
meet my needs. I would probably upgrade the RAM to 3GB.

Does anyone, here, have any hands-on experience with the NP2096?
Is this a Clevo-based unit and how does it compare to other Sager
models? My main desire is good, not over-the-edge, performance,
coupled with good enough build quality to last a few years. Good
    WiFi is also another priority.

All comments and/or suggestions will be appreciated. This is my first
laptop and judging from what I've seen from most of the manufacturers,
Sager appears to offer a lot for the investment.

it's not clevo.. it's a compal JHL90, compals are very solid machines. the only negative thing i can see is the odd placement of the three usb ports.. grouped all on the right side.

there are a few jhl90 reviews floating around the web, try a google search. someone is bound to review one on here shortly.

buy a sager from xoticpc or powernotebooks
