Hello all! Due to an unfortunate accident, involving office chairs and cords (I still don't know how on earth it happened!), I need to replace the screen for my NP2098. However, I have run into a bit of trouble with my reseller as they quoted 390+ for a replacement plus 30 for shipping! I don't really want to spend that much but will do so if needs be.

What I am asking for is, can I find a LCD screen, that is 15.6" WXGA LED Glossy (1366x768) and use it for my laptop? I seem to have a bit of trouble finding one exactly. Also, I heard it's relatively easy to just replace the screen on your own, so I hope to save some money there. I just need someone to point me into the right direction... Thanks!

Sorry all, but I sincerely do need help. eBay has revealed several choices but I'm honestly not sure if the screens are specifically made for Sager or I can buy a 15.6" WXGA LED Glossy (1366x768) from eBay and still be able to use it. Can anyone please advise?

$420 for a replacement screen is expensive.

I bought a replacement screen for my friend's ThinkPad from these guys. They might have the screen you're looking for. Try looking around the Compal section on the site.

Ah, but I couldn't find the specific size in Compal's section nor Sager's. I only found the specific sizes in the Acer section. Would these still work or no?

Do you have the specific model number for your LCD panel? Look in device manager.

I'm looking at this page. All of them are 15.6 inch screens. Check which model panel you have and see if it matches the ones on the page. http://www.lcds4less.com/other-screen-parts.shtml

Sadly, I cannot use device manager mainly because the screen itself is broken -- I cannot see anything. This is why I'm trying to find a new screen...

Ah, a related bit of information I forgot to post along with the details -- this is a custom Sager notebook that was built on a Compal KHLB2, apparently. I hope this helps.
