A lot of problem, and i know very little about laptops or computer in general

hi vishals123 and welcome to nbr

youve just mentioned the problem in your last sentance.
there was compatability problems on the np8660 between fingerprint reader and turbo memory so im wondering if its the same thing.
the turbo memory has to be fully loaded before you attempt to load the fingerprint reader.
look in start > all programs > protector suite QL > user enrolment.

my 2gb turbo never worked from day one so i ripped the card out. they have been more problems than they have been worth.

find your model HERE on the clevo site and then we may be able to help with drivers.
what about your backup disc that came with the computer. is it not on there.

when you wrote np2098 i assumed it was a clevo

i have no idea about DLL failures so hopefully someone else will be able to help you out.

It looks like no other reseller has jumped in on your question, and I thought I could be of some assistance. The reason you are unable to get your turbo memory working is that turbo memory is only supported in Vista and Windows 7. Maybe once you upgrade to windows 7 you will be able to use the turbo memory. For now if you continue to get conflicts you may just go ahead and remove the turbo memory from the computer itself. The removal is nearly as easy as removing RAM (with the exception of the 2 screws).

    I hope that helps.

    Vishals,

Sorry - per Microsoft, there is no direct upgrade from XP to 7. I'd like it too - just got 7, and will be reformatting sometime in the next couple of weeks...
