    NP5165 on Back Order

    Ordered Sager NP5165 from Xotic 2 weeks ago. Phase 2 ever since. Ordered with matte 95% NTSC Gamut screen.

    I hear the screens are on back order.

    Anybody has any information on what one has to expect for availability? Xotic says mid June but sounds like standard answer not specific to my order Sager website currently says ETA End June.

    I'm in the same boat. I contacted XoticPC, and they said that Sager has had a lot of orders lately.

    I ordered my 5175 on the 3rd. Still Phase 2.

    That's no surprise, Sager has created some really good, price-competitve, great-bang-for-the-buck, good looking machines with excellent components and amazing cooling capabilities.

    It's no surprise that people are snapping these up like chocolates :)

    Yup, I stayed 2+ weeks in Phase 3, because of the custom order screen.

    Hey Catan!
    I ordered the exact same spec as you have it. It is a little disappointing since I have been pushing this out while staying in contact with Xotic on the availability of originally the 5160. The machine was on backorder for a number of weeks when it arrived (Sandy Bridge recall). I did not feel like sending my money over knowing that it would be weeks before it would ship. I also did not want to forfeit the possibility of a new model arriving. That is what happened with the 5165. After checking the availability with Xotic I placed my order the same day, wired the money, then did not hear a word until I started asking finding out about the backorder.

    Now I am puzzled with the conflicting information from Xotic (mid June) and Sager's website (end June). I will be leaving on vacation early July and would need the machine (incl. a few days time for installation) prior to leaving.
