hey guys, im going on a long road trip and need to find the best place to get a car charger for my laptop so i can do stuff on the go. Thing is, last time i whent on a trip i bought a AC adaptor thing that i could plug anything and it would work. But the power to my laptop was over using the adaptor i bought and it would short out. Anyone know any good solutions?

by the way, i did some research and the only chargers i found were like 70$ which i am not willing to spend really for a once in a while trip

you need a car DC-AC power inverter... at least 150watt.

    I use this:
    http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B00006IRWR/002-6483207-0154421?SubscriptionId=03P5DH6KNFTA8Y1JCJ02

I used a zd8000 before I got my np5790, and that thing sucked power hard (180W) and I couldn't find an inverter anywhere that would work until I came across this. It works great, and isn't -too- loud (though it's not quiet, either; if you're driving on the highway though the noise of the car usually drowns it out anyway). The one I listed has 2 plugins, though I think there's a version out there with just 1. Anyway, I'm not sure how much power the 5760 uses, but this thing should power it no problem.
