I have a x2gen 22 inch LCD connected to the laptop via VGA, and the monitor is 1680 1050 resolution, but when i connect it to the laptop there are a whole bunch of resolutions that i can chose for the Monitor except 1680 1050.

How can i make this work?

what version of the video drivers are you using? It should be an option, it is for me. I am using the 163.71 version of the laptopvideo2go.com drivers. I believe this is the link: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15113

You can also use a tool called PowerStrip to do custom resolutions, though I believe the NVIDIA stuff allows you to do them too.

try the laptopvideo2go drivers. they seem to offer a few different items than the default drivers.
