I just got my system today and LOVE IT! Man what a system!

I seem to be having two issues with it so far. I spoke with XoticPC Tech support on the issue and they said overclocking does not void the warranty, but any damage to the card from it will void the card. So I know the card will clock up.

Running the NV Monitor or System Information in the nvidia control panel with nTune installed causes the system to BSOD. I've used the CD drivers, the latest Sager Drivers, and even a modded driver from laptopvideo2go, and they all still crash the system.

When I try to increase the clock speeds, it reverts back to the standard 500/800mhz. If I lower the clock speeds, however, they seem to take that. I can't pull the VBIOS to upload for review either. Nibitor doesn't seem to recognize the presence of the hardware. Also tried making everything work with the three different drivers, and two full OS reinstalls. Running Vista x64 Ultimate SP1. Plugged into AC and on High Performance Power Mode with PowerMizer disabled in the registry. ATI Tool and Riva Tuner also do not work. Could this be faulty hardware? Are the clocks locked in the BIOS? I've never flashed my vBIOS before, so I'm a little wary of doing so to get some decent clocks.

I got better speeds on my old system with the 8800M GTS overclocked... and that didn't have near the cooling system this does. What am I doing wrong!?

Yep, most 8800M GTX OC their card by flashing...
    Try Atitool or EVGA utility..
Also, not all drivers can OC, try 175.75 from laptopvideo2go.com,link in sig on how to update video drivers.

    Man, you're short on words.
help the guy OC his card via flashing, I know you did it.
I'd tell him how, but I don`t have a 8800M GTX and don't know the values that well.

Flashing the modded vbios is the only way.

Ther's zfactor's guide to boot from USB.Then download the modded 8800BIOS from Gangsta. Then boot from USB and flash it :)

PS:I had artifacts from the OC'd BIOS in World in conflict so reverted back to old one.

Searched high and low for "zfactor's guide" and could find nothing. All I need to do if find out how to boot to USB. Thats the only place I'm running into trouble right now. I'm running Vista x64 and things like HP's tool does not work. And I have no floppy drive, internal or external

Any suggestions on getting my flash drive to boot?

    zfactor's guide is here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=246530

you have to run the hp tool as administrator if you have UAC enabled to get it to work, as I understand it, he has it in the guide

    Hi emike09,

I have had same problems as you some time ago, if you want I can sent you ready flash cd to flash your 8800m GTX via e-mail. Describing how to do this is quite long! I have bios .08 and vbois .14. The only thing you need is UltraIso and Nero. The parameters are 600 1400 900 and 600 1500 900. If you want it sent me private message. Or you can study thread ''driver for 8800m GTX that does not suck'' or somthing like this...
