So I surf the Realtek site and found there's newer update for the driver, download and install it. Restart the laptop. BOOM.. My HD Audio Manager's gone :/

Anyone knows where to download the manager? I can't seem to find it on their site. Doesn't know what's AC'97 means... and now I'm tryin to download stock from sager website (it's old one..), perhaps anyone knows the updated version? or can I use the NP5797 version?

    Thanks a bunch.

the 5793 does not use ac97, it uses realtek hd audio. What version did you download?

The newest version is R2.21 here

Downloaded R2.21 which is the CODEC itself.. not the manager..
As the site.. it keeps bounce back to this address

Do you know where I can download the manager or should I just go with stock?

    Hi Spinnel,

Did you uninstalled the old Realtek HD Audio Driver first?

If not when you ran it for the first time, it was only uninstalling previous versions and not installing the new one. You need to run the driver installer again, after restarting the OS, so that the new driver can be finally installed, with the newer Audio Manager.

Now you are only using the Generic HD Audio Driver from Microsoft, wich don't have the Realtek Audio Manager.

    ;)
