I'm very much aware of how bloated most laptops come these days, at least with Dell, HP, etc. Do the Sagers come with this bloatware as well? The last boutique laptop I bought (which ran great till the cmos just burnt out) was a rebranded Compal CL56 and I got it with the disks needed but without anything pre installed. I would like to avoid having to do a whole clean install, since this comes with Vista already preconfigured, but it seems if the sager comes with Dell-style bloat, I might have to anyway since I only got the 100gb 7200rpm drive, and would like to wait awhile before I have to upgrade the HD. I also want it to run fast as possible (why else get the 4gb ram, faster Penryn, 8800gtx, etc.) so would doing this make it run better?

as far as i know sager resellers dont install bloatware on their pc's

powernotebooks and xoticpc i THINK are known to not have bloatware installed.

That's one of the plus factors of Sager/Clevo's = no bloatware.
