For some reason I can't get my new 2,5 drive to register in neither the BIOS nor in XP. I know it has power since I can feel that it rotates.

One thing I noticed is that in unit manager, there are only two ATA controllers listed, one for SATA no1 and one for SATA no2. No driver for SATA no3, I think this may be the problem. But I have no idea where to get a driver for the third SATA port.

    SMALL UPDATE:
I have the exact same problem as this guy here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/500077-m570tu-xp-3-esata-bios.html
If drive is connected on startup, the BIOS check freezes for 30-40 seconds. And it doesnt detect in the BIOS nor XP.

Did you try to replace the drive in the eSATA enclosure to eliminate a defective drive issue?
