Hello everyone. This is my first post so bear with me. I'm a new owner of the Sager NP7110. The graphical performance that I'm getting doesn't seem to be on par with all my system specs and I'm wondering about that optimus options and so forth. First off here are my system specs:

17.3" Full HD LED Display with Super Glossy Surface (1920 x 1080) 1GB DDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 330M GPU with Optimus Technology / Embedded Intel HD Graphics with Shared Memory up to 1.7GB
    Intel® Core™ i7-620M Processor ( 32nm, 4MB L3 Cache, 2.66GHz / 3.33GHz Turbo Mode )
IC Diamond 7 Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
    Genuine MS Windows® 7 Home Premium 32/64-Bit Edition ( 64-Bit Preloaded )
    Memory-6GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 1 X 4GB + 1 X 2GB
    500GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive
    8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL Super-Multi Drive & Software
Internal 802.11 B+G+N Wireless LAN Module

I purchased the computer to be able to play FFXIV when it comes out this month. When I run the benchmark on the pc I don't even break 1000. My friend ran it on his Asus laptop that only has an I5 processor and an inferior graphics card and he scored over 2500. I'm not sure why I'm not getting the same performance as he is. I'm not the most computer savy but any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much, I really want to like this laptop, but so far I've been disappointed.

    Thanks

So, after a bit more research I've discovered that this "optimus" technology on the graphics card is probably what is causing my problems. I've read on some forums that this is causing you to get the Intel graphics and not the Nvidia 330M graphics. Is there anyway to disable this ??
I've tried in BIOS but if I disable it nothing works...

Please help, I think I'm going to have to return this laptop ><.
