    :) Hello all,

So I was between P34G V2 and the NP7338, no offense to anyone but to me the PG34G has the worst color theme and logo on earth, I hate that gigantic long "Gigabyte" on the back and the black screen white keyboard panel just looks cheap to me :(
Too bad cuz otherwise its a pretty awesome machine with a good fan and surface temps (and I wont pay for wraps or repaints).

The NP7338 on the other hand looks perfect for all my needs, its not a razer blade but it has its own style and look :) I really like it and its almost a buy except for this.

The first surface temps make me want to buy it , the other makes me want to run in the opposite direction

What is your experience? why is there such a big difference in surface temps? has there been a new update that helped thermals or is it something else? :)

Hey HTWingNut, no offense but I think ur unit is a magical one lol :p ur reported external heat seems to be significantly less than what others reported... any secret behind that? ;) double heatsink? extra awesome paste?

ur review is the reason i wanted to buy it and the reason i got very confused later on after I read/watched other reviews, and the reason I asked this question lol

trying to get the community average but no one seems to be answering and I really want to order a laptop already :p

    Stuck between the NP7338 and P34G V2 :)

Let me give you some numbers.

While using the same massive overclocks and voltage the GTX860M in the P34G V2 breached the 90c while the W230SS was below 70c. ;)

No secret. I don't know. I've had long BF4 sessions on my W230ST and now my W230SS and there is nothing uncomfortable about it. Measured temps are near 50C in the center, otherwise on the edges more in the upper 30's to lower 40's. Otherwise, I don't know, maybe I have a a good cool unit. /shrug/
