I was looking into buying a NP8130 but before I actually do it I wanted your opinions on the screens offered. There are 3 options offered:

    15.6" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit Matte Display
    15.6" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit 95% NTSC Color Gamut GlassView Display +$30
    15.6" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit 95% NTSC Color Gamut Matte Display +$95

I have heard the default matte screen is excellent but how are the other options, mainly the 95% glassview one? Is it worth $30? And how intense is the glare with it? Could I use it in direct light (with brightness higher)?

The 95% gamut screen has more vibrant colors, and the stock screen already has good colors.

If you need a matte screen, and can afford to go with the 95% gamut one, go for it. If you don't need a matte screen, go with the glossy 95% gamut one (it's about as glossy as any other glossy laptop), and if you need matte but can't go an extra $95, stick with the stock screen because it's still rather good.

I have the matte screen 95% gamut and it's the best screen I've ever seen. I cant stop staring at it. Though I would probably be happy with the non 95% screen too. I agree with the others, if you can afford the upgrade, I say go for it, if not, you'll probably be just as happy with the stock matte screen.
