    NP8130 small hole upper right side of track pad?

    Wondering what the tiny hole just upper right of the touchpad is for? It's just big enough to stick a paper clip through.

    I've been wondering the exact same thing. My first thought was that it has something to do with the palmcheck, but because that fails so badly, I would hope they didn't put in a hole for that :p

    It's the mic, and a decent one at that unless you cover it with your palm while speaking.

    LOL, I was just trying to describe the size of the hole. :p

    And yes that makes sense Electric shock, I didn't even notice that it wasn't in the lid like my older G60. :eek:

    This and the crappy webcam are my two biggest gripes with this otherwise perfect laptop. Why the heck would they place the mic right there? Try skyping with someone and typing at the same time. Or, heaven forbid, using the trackpad....
