NP8150 - Exact Shipping Date?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew the exact shipping date of this model.

Reason I'm inquiring is the one in my sig has been RMA'd for 7 weeks and after extensive QQ, I was issued a refund which I got today from Asus.

Since I've been laptopless for far too long, I need something ASAP.

If it's still a long way away, is there any other comparable Sager model with SB and a good video card that would sooner ship?

I would surely hope so. Are the Sager NP8130 shipping around the same time period too? But if you order now it would be really tough to have it delivered some time this week since there has been a long date period of pre-orders till now.

 

Actually, the one in your sig ^ looks much more appealing since it has a matte screen. After owning a matte screen, I don't think I can ever go back to glossy lol.

...So NP8130's are shipping mid-March from what I'm reading or have some already shipped early?

 

Some of you first ones might have tracking #'s tomorrow, as long as everything goes ok in testing. Some big batches will be going out towards the end of the week as they get them built and tested. This goes for all SB models. (5160/5170/8130/8150/8170)

 

If I ordered my 8130 from you guys on march 6th, any eta you could give me?

 

Well you can choose both Matte and Glossy screens for both NP8130 and NP8150.

 

Yeah.. you can upgrade to a better matte screen for the NP8150 as long as your reseller offers it. Kudos to Sager if they get mine shipped this week.

Is there anyway you could know if a specific order *cough cough* is shipping with the this week's shipment? I only got a week of break and even with upgraded shipping I don't know if I made the cut.

 

I have break off of school (not work) next week, I hope I can at least use it for a weekend

 

Exactly, and also because I come home from college (a few hours away from my home) and really don't feel like driving just to pick up a laptop (even though its really awesome). This and the gas prices are really making me hope that this week I get the final email with a Tracking #. Fingers Crossed.

I heard from a PM from another member that orders #28901 and below should be shipping this week. Take this information what it is and hope for the best guys and gals.

Same here. I want to play my new games during spring break weekend. It would stink to get my 8150 after school starts up again.

ETA: Considering how brokedown my current laptop is, I think I'll be grateful if my new one comes anytime this month. HP sucks.

Well, if resellers are saying "soon" for newly ordered units, then the timeframe to full capacity shipping must have changed.

I'm assuming since I don't actually have a registered account at Mythlogic that I'll get my status updates via e-mail like I did before. I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm #4 for the P150HM so hopefully soon =).

 

Valve time?

 

If we're going by valve units of time "soon" could mean by the time 2 more generations of laptops have hit the market "soon" will be upgraded to "any day now"

Mathis, mythologic can set up tracking for you on their site but I think ours are next week at the earliest.

He did say he was going to look into the freezing issue too...

 

Sweet. Thanks for the info. I ordered an extra Killer NIC uninstalled to test it with different games since it only went for $31.00 by itself. Hopefully those have been delivered in time as well.
