    Hello,

    I essentially have two inquiries.

Introduction: I am attempting to upgrade the RAM in my laptop, increasing it from 8GB (2x4GB) to 16GB (an additional 2x4GB).

    (1) Can I mix 1600MHz ram in with my old 1333Mhz ram?
    (2) Will the following RAM modules fit in my NP8150? http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Modu...XAAK/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1308336370&sr=8-7

    Thanks

Additional relevant information about my laptop specification (Sager NP8150):

    Intel Core i7-2630QM
    AMD Radeon HD 6970M (2GB GDDR5)
    8GB (2x4GB SODIMMS) DDR3/1333 Dual Channel Memory

Because you have the 2630qm, you can't use 1600Mhz RAM.

And even if he could, it would automatically downclock to 1333 MHz when mixed with the standard modules.

Go with the Corsair. It's cheaper and will be just as good.

Thank you ElBlufer, I appreciate it; I will go with the corsair... Unless of course there are any other suggestions, at this level money isn't much of an issue, an extra 50-90 dollars won't change my life, but I do want nice RAM.

Personally I would recommend Corsair ram as well, simple, effective...reliable
