I did a search on the forums, but I couldn't find what I was looking for in regards to the 8150/8170. Do we know if the next gen GPU's that are being released in 2012 will have the same MXM socket and upgradability as the current systems? (aka - could I throw an Nvidia GXT 6 series in the current models next year?)

I saw information on the new Clevo P270WM, but no information yet on how the GPU socket and compatibility will play out.... that and a bios update to support it

Does Clevo have a history of throwing customers a "bone" and giving us a bios update to support the latest hardware on legacy platforms?

If you have any info that I missed while searching please let me know.

    Thanks.

From the information we are seeing yes they will be able to be upgraded (I can't confirm that 100% BUT thats what we are currently seeing). Now its up to Clevo to crank out a BIOS/EC update to support the cards officially, and they have made no comment about that and their current models.
