Hi,
So I recently have been having issues with my laptop. After not powering on my computer for a week or so, I had some issues with the display. After being at the desktop for a minute or so, the display would just cut out.
Long story short, I took the computer to a shop and they determined that there was something up with how the processor was interacting with the integrated graphics. In the end, the best solution was to just disable the integrated graphics and use the nvidia. I am now able to use the laptop, but I am not able to open both the nvidia control panel or geforce experience. When I tried to play games like battlefield 4, the framerate in the menus was basically zero. From what I can tell, the games do not want to use the nvidia gpu if I am just using my laptops display.
Any advice with how I could fix this would be appreciated.
Thanks

Strip out the Intel and nvidia drivers and put fresh ones on there, have you spoken to your reseller for advice also?

You could try with one stick of ram and see if that made any difference.

Edit: I can just use task manager to see how many slots I am using. When I am back home I will check. -

CPUz will also say.
The igp uses ram to store data, slight instability in ram will impact it way more than other tasks. -

Try swapping the slot for the one next to it for a start, if you do have another stick to hand then go for it.

So I just called the shop again. They said that they did a stress test on all the hardware components, including the ram and they did not find any issues. They also tried using different ram sticks and the issue was still there. Should I go ahead and still try swapping the slot?

If you believe them then no, it could be something with either the mux chip or traces going between the CPU and it.
That would need component level repair or motherboard replacement. -
I went ahead and submitted a technical support request ticket on the sager website.
