Hi all -
Last night my 10 month old Sager notebook was fine and working. I closed the lid and the next time I went to use it again, it was completely dead. Won't take a charge, nothing. I have no idea if it's the power supply because there is no LED light on that particular charger to indicate if it's working or not. Called Sager, and I'll have to send it back today. Who knows how long it'll take to fix it! It'd be a shame to wait all that time if it's just the charger. Has anyone else ever encountered a problem like this? Otherwise the laptop has been near perfect! Thanks.

Hi Rebecca and welcome to nbr
things to try but dont hold your breath it will work.
remove mains and battery and press power button for 20-30 seconds.
plug in mains without battery and try turning on as normal
if no joy then remove mains and try battery on its own and try turning on.
next thing would be resetting the cmos battery but im not sure where it is on your model. maybe under the keyboard like some other clevo's and not easy to get to.
one question is do you use hibernate at all and could you of put it into hibernate last night instead of turning off.
that happened to me with an alienware and the only way to get it to boot again was the remove and reseat of the cmos battery.
sadly it does sound more like a power brick failure especially as theres no lights on the front of lappy but its always worth a try with the above first before a rma back to sager. -
how come no warranty? its 10 month old, these comes with a 1 year warranty

OP didnt mention of out of warranty. just didnt want to return the whole lappy if the fault was with the power brick.

CMOS batteries can be a pain to remove in general. The carriage it's in should have a nitch in it, where when you push down, it pops the battery up. Sometimes the spring mechanism or the lever that is suppose to lift the battery doesn't quite work well, though, and you have to use something thin to use as leverage to lift the battery out of it's holding place.
Not sure if that will void the warranty though, so you may be better off just sending the thing in.
