So i was thinking of ordering myself one of these and i was wondering if the cpu upgrade 2720 would be worth it if i want to later upgrade my ram to 1600. I've heard that you need 2720 or later in order to use them.

    Thanks.

That's true - according to Intel.
Not sure if the performance boost will be noticeable with RAM@1600.

With a fully set of RAM :

    1g*4 / 2g*4 / 4g*4

in the SB platform (4 ram slots) , the system will be a little faster .

that means : you do that , will speedup the P150HM .

I think the amount of RAM is important than the frequency .

    so 2630 is OK .

BTW , above theory is from the CTO of China CLEVO factory . (revealed by a reseller of a brand name : TerranceForce)

    You can believe that .

16GB ram@1333 is the perfect choice of Sandy Bridge , I think .

I think so. The 26xx series is loosely based off of their 6xx series, with the big difference being that its quad core.
The 27xx would be a good performance boost anyways, regardless of what you do with the ram.

well, i'm trying to stay in budget (under 1900$) and i'm just wondering if this would be worth it for future's sake upgrading wise because i plan on keeping it for a long period of time.

edit: is it true the 6970 is coming feb for this system?

Yes it is coming for this model as well as for the NP7280 and NP8150, however the ETA is not necessarily in February. It is not for sure known at this time... :)
