I can purchase a reasonably priced GTX870m to upgrade my current GTX770m. From what I read, the upgrade is moderately significant in terms of performance, and the cost of the card is worth it. I also know that the NP8265 is compatible with any card up to the GTX980m. That said, I have a couple of questions...

This is a bare card, that was originally purchased off Ebay from Upgrade Monkey. It came with a Clevo vbios, the owner flashed an Alienware vbios, and it ran in an Alienware m17x r3. Can I flash it back to a stock Clevo vbios?

Will my current GTX770m heatsink work? Do I need any additional heat pads, or will I be able to reuse the old ones and just apply new thermal paste on the GPU?

The reason I am willing to consider going through this hassle is because the new Intel Broadwell are only now hitting the market, and combined with a weak Canadian dollar all new laptops are silly priced across the border.

    Thanks.
