    Hi all,

I am hearing a noise coming from the top right portion of my latop that sounds as though something is trying to load or cycling but I cannot for the life of me work out why its happening. I haven't put any new drivers in and I cleaned the fans about a month ago. I'm off to get some more compressed air but any help would be tops.

    Thanks.

Could it be a HDD spinning?
Is it more of a rotatory noise or a clicking noise?

Need a little more info on noise. It sounds like its the fan cycling but if its "clicking" the hard drive could be failing. Sea tools will detect any errors on hd.

Make sure you hold the fan still when you clean it with pressurized air. Letting it spin can damage it. Also, even if you ordered your laptop with AS5, I would reapply the thermal paste on cpu and gpu. Sagernotebooks applied it completely incorrectly on mine.
