So i'm planning to buy a new laptop this coming Friday, and i'm exploring my storage options. I know with these two models you have the option of dual 7mm HDD / SSD and dual M.2 drives. After doing a little research i've seen that the Samsung XP941 drives tend to run a little hot and often require BIOS flashes and driver updates to become bootable. Just curious if they are safe for use in these laptops (heat) and what if any updates are required to make them bootable. Thanks for any info / opinions.

Since the XP941 is an option to select from Sager the computer should be ready to accept it without any work on your end. If you select it when ordering then it will be all set up for you and you wont have any issues from the start. There may be firmware updates for it down the road, you can keep and eye out for those. But if you do not run into any problems theres no need to monitor for those.
