since u getting the 15inch go with wsxga, and p9500 2.53ghz 25watts, 9800m gt, 320gb 7200rpm, 4gb ram, no turbo memory (no need) rest should be default spec

and i dont think u can play that much without plugging in, cuz those games will use all the horsepower in ur system

Is the p9500 really necessary for the cost? Especially if he's looking for a gaming machine and is not doing heavy encoding shouldn't the default processor be alright and save him $135?

if ya want to play unplugged, get the m15x. the np8660 would prob last about 45 minutes on minimum brightness playing CS

Just a q about turbo mem sorry, if you have 4gb of ram turbo mem won't make difference to performance will it? I think i even saw somewhere on this forum that having the first 1gb type of turbo mem actually slowed down their computer. Can anyone just clear this up for me?

that was probably a problam with their drivers or something. turbo memery should decrease boot up time by at least a couple of seconds, no matter if you have 16gb of ram

its a sager, probably has excellent cooling and 10 watts won't make a huge difference for temperature anyhow.

my reason for not picking turbo memory is that i dont need it, and it might even slow down ur computer when it tries to save recent opened programs so it could open again faster but i have no experience with it so im just guessing and for $45 buck extra i rather keep my money, if u want real performance just get SSD but it will cost u, u get what u pay for in the end

yes, i know ssd are not available, im just saying in general, but to me the thing is a hassle

as far as gaming off the wall goes i want like a hour and a half of World of warcraft.. give or take... which i think it should get right?... and like mabye 3hours with every thing off and on low non gaming?

If I were to configure that notebook, I would put the 2.8 GHz 9600 in it. That M860TU is barely upgradable as it is.

Well im sure i can overclock the lower end CPU processors right?... like people can get the 2.5s atm to like 2.8-3gigs with out 2 much hassel.. i think its more thermal limit than multiplier locks.

but yer what CPU for me..? seems to be the hot issue
