So I'm ordering an NP8660 from Xotic, and I was curious if you guyz think I will need to buy a cooler for it? Any suggestions?
Yes i will be using it for gaming. (Assassin's Creed, Crysis, BF2142, WoW)

Does anyone know the airflow of the NP8660? (In from bottom out the back, in the bottom out the bottom, etc..)

Exactly, we don`t know how the NP8660 handles heat yet.
Although, if you can find a NC2000 cheap, get it! it never hurts to have a cooler.

I like the Zalmans especially as they serve as a stand also so the laptop is tilted up so its easier on your writs for extended use. especially on the thicker gaming laptop.s

Yep. Zalmans are awesome. Get the NC2000, to make sure it's wide enough to accomodate your system.

So - no resellers have given us an idea of how the NP8660 handles the heat? I'd love to hear from Donald or Justin. The Alienware m15x had so many problems in the 15.4inch form-factor, and it had dual fans. The NP8660 only has one fan. I'm pretty confident it will still do a better job, because it has better heat-sincs - but I'd really like to hear something concrete.

Well I'm pretty sure being that the m15x is the only other competitor they took heat as a high priority issue. Also Donald has stated that heat will not be an issue in several posts (to lazy to look).
