When the fan kicks in on my NP8660 power brick... the smell is nauseating... like a melting plastic/burning smell. Obivously when the fan is off... there is no smell at all. Anything I can do about it?

are there any lose bits of plastic stuck in the fan grill on the brick and how hot does the brick get as it could be faulty. id contact your seller just in case.

I'm not an expert, but that might be something that isn't so...good. Maybe ask Sager for a replacement if you think it's a sign of something damaging.

New fan with new plastic might be creating the burning smell thing.

Light a match, that always works for me but it's to cover up the smell of something else.....nevermind

you wont be able to smell the powerbrick then :D
