My fan doesn't seem to be able to kick itself up to working at the speeds it used to be able to so I'm wondering what people's advice is. The temperatures are now hitting 60 when i'm not doing anything after letting it sit idle for 30min whereas before they used to sit in the mid to high 40s. I cleaned all the vents out and I'm wondering if I should replace the fan. Any ideas?

when you say cleaned the vents out did you remove the base plate and use compressed air inside the fan blades as well.
if its not the fans it might need some thermal paste re applying on the heat sinks.
when you press the third button next to the on/off button does it go totally silent. then pressing it again the fan starts spinning. if not it could be a faulty fan.

I had similar issue with fan. In my case, it was getting noisier. Long story short: I ordered a new replacement fan. When I removed the old fan from the MOBO, I noticed a large amount of dust on the fins of the heat sink that no amount of compressed air was going to remove.
So please note, if you are cleaning out the fan with compressed air, you will not remove all the dust unless you remove the fan to expose the side of heat sink that fan blows onto.

The fan does start spinning again but its still not spinning at the speeds it used to go at before and I did take out the base plate...might need to apply new paste hmm.
