I'm currently running my notebook dual booted with Win7 and Vista (64 bit), unfortunately I cant install a driver for the m860tu. It says the driver for the Base system device is not installed. I can't find one online, and if its in the driver cd that came with the comp then I don't know how to install it.
Another thing, I haven't managed to get Battlefield 2142 to work, when i open it normally it says it encountered an error and needs to close, when I troubleshoot it and open it with winxp sp2 it says the disc is not in the drive (it is) I am not sure whether this is because i don't have the proper driver for the M860tu
Thanks for any help

I'm not sure which driver to use, aka which one on the cd is the driver for the base system?
and i'm sorry if i broke some unwritten rule, i'm new to internet forums -
yeah, i installed all the drivers on win 7 too.... everything is installed. fingerprint reader, graphics card, webcam. everything. Except I don't know what the "Base system" is
-
Well I have the same problem on xpsp3 and I can tell you it's the cardreader.
I don't know why but both the original and the updated drivers won't install.
I know I'm late but maybe you guys found a solution? -
here is the "Base System" ...go download it.... ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb38x/XP_Vista_Win7/

Pop in the driver cd, update driver, browse on my computer, select the D: drive or whatever letter your optical drive is that has the driver cd, done.
