Hey guys, I'm so excited that my Sager came today. It has no OS and I'm having trouble getting windows 7 64 to install.

It says that I need drivers, so I put the drivers disc in, browse the files manually, but I don't know what drivers to choose. Whenever I choose one it says "make sure the correct drivers..." There's a lot of drivers and I don't know which one is the correct one to get the install running.

Any help would be appreciated and sorry if this has already been asked.

You can also go to the cd and go to properties>compatibility. Then run the cd in compatibility mode for windows Vista and choose to always run it as an administrator. That worked for me. Then you can use the autorun tool.

I tried those drivers win but I got the same error.

"No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media."

    I can't install win7 without this. :(

If it helps, this is the error I get before I try to manually search for drivers.

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now."

Thanks for your help guys. I found out that there was something wrong with the win7 64bit disc I made, so I just used win7 32 bit and everything works now. Thanks!

What is so important about 64 bit that you may want it a lot?

    I can't tell if you're being facetious...

OP, check Win3K's post and the link in my sig for most recent drivers & software. Also, instead of going through the New Hardware Wizard, run the setup .msi/exe's packaged with the drivers - many if not all drivers you download will not be in a state whereby the wizard can install them (i.e. they don't come with an .inf file).

Because 1GB of your 4GB will be wasted with 32-bit?
