I can't seem to get the protector suite working with windows 7. I managed to set the scanner up with windows 7 directly, but when I try to use the program, it says that it cannot detect the biometric scanner. Is this normal?

I think so. After numerous tries, I got it to work.

Err, did you try reinstalling the program a few times, or what?

It's always worked for me. I went into Device & Printers and had Windows find the driver by itself and it's worked well since.

you have to install the driver that comes with protector suite, it should be in its program folder or install folder. You need to go into device manager and manually 'update' the driver to that one.

If you are using the protector suite 2009 (for win7) it works with the auto installed driver, but only works on builds 7000-7100.

Ah, they have a new version :)

I was using a previous build of this (5395) that only supported 7000-7100

Build 5668 seems to support 7068+, I will check if it tops out at any build when it's downloaded.

Looks like the new build of PS2009 works with any build 7068 or higher :)

I can't download PS2009 from Upex' website anymore (it says download limit exceeded). Can someone post build 5668 on a sharing site & post a link to it?

Thanks; I forgot to specify that I was after the 32-bit version, but apparently everything is now fine & dandy at Upex' site; I was able to download the file yesterday.
