Hi,
I'm researching to buy a new laptop and can't afford to go wrong so my only question is: are there any known problems with this laptop?
Thanks a lot guys!

No .

Best answer: Stick around the forum and have a look through some of the threads here. Or take a look at the reviews for it on this website, here and here.
Quicker answer: Depending on your view or the notebook you get, some people have reported the laptop beng too warm where the HDD is. Personally, I think it's just people whining as mine only tends to be one or two degrees warmer on that side compared to the other.
The only other one of the top of my head is one that accompanies all clevo models and that's the likeliness of stuck pixels. You can get cover against this, at a small price.
Quick answer: None really. -
Looking at your other posts, I think I know where you're coming from. I was also looking at the Studio XPS 16, but I soon found out about Sager. As other people have said, the 260M in the 8662 is way ahead of the ATI they're putting in the Dell and you should be much happier with the performance of the Sager.
And yeah, the only thing I've really heard so far is a bit of warmth above the hard drive as Oiad said.
Make sure you get it from a reseller like XoticPC or Powernotebooks and you'll be all set! -
So are you saying that it might come with stuck pixels or is it something that might happen over time?
-
That being said, you can actually return the laptop FOR ANY REASON within 7 days minus the shipping cost if you get it from the likes of Xotic or Powernotebooks, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
As for your original question, my "dislikes" (and I am putting it in quotes because they hardly are) of the 8662: the place under the hard drive can get a bit warm, but it's nothing really, the screen is not as bright as what I am used to, I haven't tried using it outside yet, but I don't think on a sunny day it'll be all too easy; that's it really. Seriously, for the power/price ratio this laptop is #$%^ing amazing. -

It isn't that all LCD's come with dead pixels, or permanently lit sub-pixels, it is that a few do, and one of them could be yours.
Dead pixels and stuck sub-pixels are a result of LCD technology…it isn’t a perfect science. It is much less of a concern today than it used to be because the technology has improved so much.
There are 6,912,000 sub-pixels on a WUXGA (1920x1200) screen and 5,292,000 sub-pixels on a WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen, so a few stuck sub-pixels is really quite understandable. The defective pixel policy for Sager computers is the best in the industry. If you have more than 5 dead pixels or stuck sub-pixels, or even one in the center square (#) of your screen it is a warranty issue and will be replaced.
If you have fewer than this and decide return it for exchange under the 30 Day (not 7 day) Total Satisfaction Guarantee (see http://www.powernotebooks.com/info/sager_warranty12-1-06.php), there is no guarantee that you will get a screen with no dead pixels or stuck sub-pixels unless you purchase the No Dead Pixel guarantee on your exchange unit.
The 30 Day No Dead Pixel Guarantee is $200, or only $100 if bundled with a 2 or 3 year extended warranty.
